About The Role
We currently have an opportunity for a professional and enthusiastic individual as a Sourcing Manager. Reporting to the Senior Sourcing and Planning Manager ANZ, the Sourcing Manager is responsible to develop and implement Medline's strategic sourcing/purchasing plan for ANZ in line with the overall business targets whilst leveraging Medline's global purchasing power and local supply relationships. A key measure of your success will be working with the Medline International Sourcing team and local business partners, to obtain an increase in value to the business through cost savings, risk management and improved vendor relationships.
The key responsibilities of this position include:
Work with allocated business divisions to ensure new product implementations are managed from a sourcing perspective and agreed timeframes are met. Focus on the "End to End" cost while maintaining the appropriate level of quality of product and service.
Deliver within tight timelines without compromising level of service and ensuring delivery of requirements.
Support the business with sourcing, ensuring all parameters are considered including total cost of goods. Taking into account purchase price, supply chain costs, quality specifications, market compliance & acceptability as well as ensuring agreed delivery timeframes are met.
Build, manage and maintain Vendor relationships with critical suppliers including effective contractual relevance for supply of raw materials
Where appropriate identify alternative sources of supply so to assist the business in reducing supply risk as well as ensuring Medline is obtaining the best value for all its purchases.
Develop and implement a Sourcing Scorecard that on a monthly basis clearly identifies and measures key sourcing KPI's. Identify, develop and implement programs through the use of sourcing tools and techniques (eg. Category & Vendor Analysis) to ensure that Medline is extracting the best value for all its sourcing activities.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and source both at a local and international level with experience within the Asian region highly regarded.
To be successful you should fulfil the following requirements:
Experience in managing procurement/sourcing, preferably within the Medical Device Industry.
Flexible attitude and problem solving
*Project Management
Advanced in MS Office.
Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in business/supply chain/procurement as well as an understanding of the Australian healthcare industry will be highly regarded.
Excellent verbal and written communication and high attention to detail
Experience in coaching and developing a team to proven success.
