Our Commitment to Gender Equality

At Medline, we appreciate that pay equity is important for our employees to feel valued and recognised for their contribution towards the success of our company. We continue to work towards closing the gap in pay through; competitive market benchmarking, equal opportunities for advancement, salary increases that reflect performance and flexible work policies.

The Gender Pay Gap at Medline

Our focus is to provide our people with competitive pay linked to skills and performance irrespective of gender. As defined by WGEA, our gender pay gap is an outcome of the diverse role types we have across our company, however we will continue to actively focus on the reduction of this gap through dedicated activities. Over the past 3 years, this focus has resulted in a reduction in the size of our pay gap at median by 7.3% at Base Pay and 4.8% at Total Remuneration, moving Medline towards better equality.

Actions and Strategies

Addressing gender equality requires a multi-faceted approach, involving both policy changes and organisational practices. During 2023 and 2024 Medline Australia has focused on pay equality by conducting regular pay gap analysis to identify and address disparities, ensuring compensation policies are unbiased and based on market benchmarks, skills, experience, and performance. Additionally, implementing and updating policies that promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace. Finally, we are committed to continuously improve talent planning and succession processes to ensure opportunities for advancement are based on merit, helping create a more inclusive workplace.
