Helping to create a sustainable earth is important to us here at Medline, that is why we are actively working to reduce our carbon footprint.

Green Initiative

One Container, One Tree

In an effort to preserve a healthy planet for future generations Medline has partnered with Greenfleet, a local not-for-profit organisation who’s mission is to protect our climate by restoring our forests.

Medline has pledged to plant one tree for every container imported or exported by Medline Australia. Since the start of our partnership we have planted 596 biodiverse trees throughout Australia creating homes for birds and other animals as well as Offsetting 159 tonnes of CO₂-e.

This is just the beginning of a long term corporate social responsibility project.

Waste Reduction

Medline Reusable Lunch Sets

To keep Medline lunchrooms free of plastic disposable kitchenware, each employee is provided with a reusable lunchset to eliminate any unneccessary waste.

Reusable Medline lunchsets contain:

  • Fabric insulated lunch box
  • Stainless steel cutlery set with zip pouch
  • Hot/cold keep cup
  • Stainless steel water bottle

Recycling

As a manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies our warehouses are a revolving door for products coming in and out. Conscious of the negative impact discarded packaging has on the environment as well as the strain on natural resources, Medline tries to reduce, reuse and recycle wherever we can. On average Medline recycles:

  • 5.5 tonnes of cardboard per month
  • 2 tonnes of plastic per month

Green Building

To show our commitment to environmental sustainability Medline invested in green building principles during the construction of our Marsden Park facility back in 2017.

Our office is designed with:

  • Recycled water tank
  • Energy efficient and sensor lighting
  • Solar panels
  • 100% recycled printer paper
